Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spas, Elements Massage, Woodhouse, Spavia, MassageLuXe, Zen Massage, LaVida Massage, Milk and Honey, The Now, and Massage Heights have aligned as part of their mission to elevate safety standards in the massage and spa industry through the formation of the National Association of Spa Franchises (NASF).

The primary goals of the association are to further elevate the professionalism of the industry, to protect customers, and to ensure professional massage therapists are respected for their skills, training, and knowledge.

An important initiative launched by NASF is the creation of an Employment Verification System (EVS) to identify massage therapists who have been previously terminated for breach of safety protocol.  Working together to create the association and a centralized verification system will help to minimize the risk of a franchisee hiring a therapist who didn’t live up to the ethical standards of a professional practice.
